I actually found a young (and beautful)woman that totally was ok with my incontinence and in fact is now my wonderful wife of 1-1/2 years. Here is the story: I posted an ad on Love@AOL (internet). There was no mention of my incontinence. I had a lot of replies from women who seemed pretty shallow. One reply however caught my eye. A pretty young lady replied to my ad, who lived in the next state, but had ties to my area and planned to move here. At the end of her reply, she said she was bi-lingual: She knew english and American Sign Language. This is because she is deaf. She can hear some with hearing aids, but mostly relies on lip reading to communicate with hearing people. We emailed for about 6-8 weeks before deciding to meet. she came to my town and I took her mini-golfing, then on a dinner cruise on a river boat. All went well... our courtship continued and I was starting to wonder how to tell her. The longer it went on.. the harder it got. She moved to my town and began spending alot of time with me. eventually she noticed my incont. supplies in the bathroom, while replacing the toilet paper roll. She asked me about it and I told her my story. Being that she is differently-abled, she understood completely... long story short: we were married in a beautiful ceremony barefoot on a Jamaican beach. Now she makes sure I have diapers, and I make sure she has hearing aid batteries! We are in complete love with each other and I believe that our understanding of each others problems, just makes our relationship stronger. My point: maybe find someone else who is incontinent or in some other way impaired. I think they maybe understand easier. Whoever you find, if they truly love you, they will understand, and not only live with it, but also help you live with it easier! Good Luck! |
