Janice, What you are experiencing is actually very common among young adults. Although it doesn't happen to everybody, drinking enough alcohol can trigger bed-wetting in a lot of people because it causes the bladder to fill up faster and also causes you to sleep more deeply so you don't wake up when you need to go. Unfortunately, if it does have this effect on you, there's not really much you can do about it other than watching how much you drink. The only thing I can think of would be maybe setting an alarm for 2 hours or so after you go to bed on those nights, if your sleeping situation would allow for that... but that isn't foolproof either, because you can't predict exactly when you will need to get up, and you could sleep through the alarm. If that doesn't work and you still want to keep on drinking, you could try some adult pull-ups (Goodnites XL if they fit, or Depend overnights) and just keep them around in a safe place and wear them only on nights after you've been drinking. I hope this is helpful; you're welcome to reply here or e-mail me at smallblad77@hotmail.com if you have any other questions, or if you just want to talk. (I'm 25 and occasionally wet the bed also, although in my case it isn't always alcohol-related.... I just have always had a small bladder and am a naturally sound sleeper.) Take care! --Adam
