Melinda - DDAVP is a brand name for desmopressin, a synthetic antidiuretic hormone which should be available anywhere. It is available as a tablet or nasal spray and works by slowing the kidney output for several hours, depending on the dosage. It works for most people but there are some that are either not helped or have unpleasant side effects. It does not completely eliminate bedwetting but does greatly reduce the number of wet nights. It is not a cure, if you stop taking it the bedwetting will return immediately.
