Hi, I'm also in Scotland and wet the bed if I have been drinking a lot. I know this is not too uncommon as I work in a hotel and quite a few guys seem to wet the bed after a drinking session. I have a waterproof matress protector which has a soft vinyl backing and terry toweling top so it doesnt make any noise. I also put a towel between it and the sheet for absorbancy if I have been out at the pub, so everything can get thrown in the washing machine in the morning.
