Reply from Tom, Age 61 - 10/20/03 - IP#: 159.39.19.xxx adultbb-c1499 I make several trips for business and vacation each year, and I have found that some hotels will provide mattress protection if requested while others may not, but even if they do I still prefer to bring my own just to be safe. I use a cloth mattress pad that is placed on top of the sheet. (I ordered mine from www.becksclassic.com but you can probably buy them locally from medical suppliers.) The cloth pad stays in place while a disposable pad won’t unless it is placed under the sheet. Then I use a good thick disposable diaper (Molicare) with an insert if needed, put my underpants back on over the diaper (every little bit of absorbency helps), and then a pair of plastic pants. If you want to be discreet, fold up the bed pad in the morning and put it in a drawer, and roll up the used diaper and put it in a plastic grocery bag which can be tied shut before putting it in the wastebasket. |
