Most responses seem to involve asking the hotel to solve the problem of protecting the bed. Wouldn't the more responsible thing be for the bedwetting traveler to arrive with whatever items are needed to ensure that the hotel bed doesn't get wet? The only drawback is that there is more to carry in your luggage. But the benefit is that you don't have to ask the embarrassing question to someone who may or may not be understanding, and you also have control over assuring that the mattress cover, pad, and/or diapers are adequate to do the job. I can't imagine asking a hotel for this kind of help. I bring adequate protection with me, and nothing has to be said.
