Tried the medications, found that the side effects were worse than the diapers. For some, maybe most, the meds. can help but it wasn't worth it to me. BTW: Dr's finally traced the problems to MS, first episode was at 25 yrs. old so it's been 32 years and nothing has helped, now I have bowel control problems as well so the diapers are best for me.
