Obviously, I haven't and can't experience everything you describe. However, I have had the dreams you mention, as have many others. There are only two solutions to your problem. Either you can train yourself to wake up instead of dreaming you have done so, which may be difficult to do, or protect yourself and your bedding during those periods when you think you are likely to wake up wet. I had those dreams frequently as a child. When my mother threatened to hang my wet sheets outside my bedroom window, I told her I would kill myself if she did so, and that she wouldn't be able to stop me, either. She never tested me, thankfully, because I do have some problems that arise from early childhood sexual and continual childhood ritual and emotional abuse. I am diagnosed with PTSD and DDNOS today, and am in diapers 24/7 because I generally pee whenever I dissociate. The point is that I was able to stop those dreams then, although I have no idea how I did so. And, I did stop the sleep wetting, although I always had a desire to do so ever since that time. And, I didn't pee while dissociating until just over two years ago while healing from my past, probably as the result of triggering some childhood program. As for withholding liquids before bedtime, I don't recommend this for children, and don't think it wise for an adult, either. Thirst is one issue, which can lead to dehydration, especially in especially hot or dry climates. And, the urine becomes very concentrated as a result. Whatever is causing your dreams could become worse by withholding liquids. And, an easy way to test this theory is to drink some fluids right before going to sleep, but not so much that it would wake you the other parts of the month. If the concentration of urine, and the acidity, are triggering these dreams, they could disappear altogether.
