Reply from Mike , Age 19 - 9/22/00Hey Tyler, I work at camps all year round I did a study, of all the 6th grade boys that I had during the session (about 600 boys) about 1/3 of all of them had wetting trouble. A lot of the camps that I have worked at code name the situation "Broken Zipper" It's pretty easy to deal with in a camp setting. Your counselors should know ahead of time and know how to deal with it in a descrete undisclosed manner. I guess my point is that you shouldn't be discouraged from going to camps and participating in overnight activities. Just let the responsible/mature people know ahead of time and you can make arrangments to "dissapear" and do whatever you need to do in order to get throught the night. I remember having a lot of young guys in my cabin throughout the camp session just asked me (or their teachers/parents would ask me) if I would wake them up like twice throughout the night so they could go use the bathroom. I'd wake them around midnight and around 3 or 4am. Enjoy your life, don't let things get in your way of having a good time. Mike |
