Have you been drinking something differently recently, sometimes an increase in alchohol or fizzy drinks before bed time can stimulate an over-active bladder and cause wetting. If you drink alchohol (I am T-Total) try not drinking any after about 7pm tonight and see if you wet (or try not drinking any at all today!) or try just drinking water and dilute to taste stuff all day and see if you still wet the bed. If you do don't worry about it loads of people (including adults) wet the bed at night, the strange thing is when adults wet the bed you don't usually find out who they are but if you talk to most adults they know someone of there age who does wet the bed. I have just came back from a YHA and I decided to tell them b4 I went about my bed-wetting (Juergen Kriks (I met him through this board) advised me to tell them)and I was very suprised at how well they took it and they told me that they quite often get adults staying who wet the bed. Also when I was on a cub camp (this was when I first wet my bed on a scout camp, most of the time I used to stay awake all night to make sure and be tired by the end of the weekend) I woke up to a soaking wet sleeping bag and thought about how to explain it to the leader and when I told him that I had nocturnal enuresis (medical name for bed-wetting) he really understood and took it that it's not just limited to kids. I have found that if you call it by it's medical name nocturnal enuresis the people who don't know what it means usually won't have a clue what you are on about (and are the ones you best not tell) but the ones that know what nocturnal enuresis is are usually ok and very understanding about it. So if you want to talk to anyone about it try using nocturnal enuresis first e.g. Do you know what nocturnal enuresis is? No! It's a form of bat that flies through the night or something like that. |
