I can appreciate that your two 14 year olds have small bladders and that the capacity is comparitively small but if that is the case there are exercises that can be done to try and enlarge there bladder however you say that it saves a lot of hassel if your daughters wear a nappy on long journeys and sometimes during the day and mostly at night surely that is teaching them to be lazy and not use the toilet to urinate you say they have wet them selves during the day again Is this often or on rare occasions if that is the case it could be lazyness on your childs part and not wanting to use the toilet also it is teaching them subconciously that they may get a fetish later in life that they like wearing them because it makes them feel comfortable! I really feel that unless children of your daughters age are mentally handicapped or physically handicapped ie; and infirm and in a wheel chair and would not be able to get to the toilet that is a valid arguement for wearing such apparel! there is nothing wrong with your children except a small bladder therefore there is no need for them to wear such apparel during the day!.you state that it is less hassel we had a child who wet the bed and if my son would wake up my wife would put fresh sheets on the bed he soon got out of wetting the bed yes there was a lot of washing but neither any of my children wet themselves during the day and my daughter had a small bladder ! I am not getting at you but it seems to me that parents always take the easy way out! to make things easy on themselves they dont think of is there any consequences that could happen to my child if I let them do this! you say you put diapers on them do you go the whole way and put plastic pants on them as well?surely if you do this is babying them!best wishes Tom |
