Your daughter has been bedwetting for a year, she's been in diapers for a week and now you want her back out of them. There are several things to consider and you may need to ask yourself some questions to sort everything out. First of all, a child's body begins changing with the onset of puberty and bedwetting can result from the changes. It usually stops after the body adjusts to its new proportions. You said she has been bedwetting for a year, and now that she has been using diapers for a week she is wet every morning. Was she wet every day before using diapers or only occasionally? Do you think the use of diapers is causing her to wet more? Are you concerned that using dipaers is causing, or might cause, her to develop a fetish for them? Some kids do wet more when they start using diapers; they know the diaper will protect them and when they wake up during the night they just use the diaper instead of getting up to use the toilet. That's not necessarily a fetish, some of them are just too lazy to get up. If you don't think the diapers are causing any problems and they keep her dry at night then they might be an acceptable solution; but if you see any problems developing or you just want to explore other options then you might try an alarm or medication. There are a number of places where you can get reasonably priced alarms on the web. If you want to try medication and her doctor is reluctant to prescribe it, take her to a urologist. Some doctors don't like to prescribe medication if they aren't familiar with it.
