I don't want my son humilited in front of his classmates, as I thought that would be going a little too far. If he needs to be changed it's done in private. She is a very understanding and compasionate person. In the morning just before school, I pack two diapers in his book bag along with a large (gallon size) Zip-Lock bag. If during the day he needs to be changed, he tells his teacher and she changes him in private and puts the wet diapers in the Zip-Lock bag. He hasn't messed in his diapers. If he has to mess, the diaper comes off, and then he is re-diapered. He does drink from a baby bottle when at home, he's not permitted to use a glass as long as he is in diapers. All in all it has gone very well, however, I have feelings deep inside me that I did something to cause this. We have an appointment with a psychologist this evening. I'm hoping that I will get a little more insight from a professional, like whether this is going to permanent or temporary and how I can best assist and support my son through this time of his life. |
