Hi Sharon. Thank you for commenting on my earlier response. I think you must be referring to a response I wrote some weeks ago about parents making their children wear pull ups/ diapers on long drives and travels. I oppose strongly to parents who FORCE their children back into diapers. From reading some of the postings here it seems to me that parents make their children wear diapers, not to protect the children, but for the parents own convinience. In your case you and your daughter have obviously discussed what is best, and you have your daughters consent. That is what I would have done if my sons had day wetting problems. Some children do need protection at daytime, a wetting accident in public is certainly worse than wearing a pull up/ diaper or as in your daughters case - plastic pants. I think the main thing is to let the children take some resposibility and make them participate in the (long) training process it is to get dry. It's vital not to brake down their self esteem, it's usually very low and it's part of our job as parents not to make it any lower. My best wishes to you and your daughter. I think you have found a good way to cope with her wetting problems. (Hope I have made myself clear here, I'm Swedish and English is not my language.)
