Catie: Seems to me that you are being overly concerned over small and insignificant details. However you anticipate attiring your daughter while you are in Hawaii should not change your approach upon leaving home nor while on the plane. If daughter needs a diaper for protection, by all means have her wearing one on the trip. Expect her to sleep or nap during the flight. Usually this is enough to prepare for any eventuality, given the circumstances. If she uses cloth diapers, that is really good and disposal of the diaper then removed is not an issue. Whether disposable or cloth, for travelling and use during your stay, provide her with sufficient coverings of plastic or waterproof nylon pants. Since you are ostensibly concerned about where to find a changing place on the plane, I think your best bet would be to ask to use some seats at the rear of the plane, though I am not a stickler about the time and place as to use your own seats wherever. As I have recommended with a similar but seperate circumstance, I suggest you carry a tote with her necessary items and do include a sheet or a large towel on which your daughter can lay. If disposal of a used diaper is still a concern, be sure to carry some small 'diaper sacks' as they are called, to twist and tie the item in and to dispose of at your opportunity to do so. You can double the little plastic sack if necessary. If your daughter is ameneable to it, a diaper bag for all the items works well, as there are compartments for separate items and normally a lined one for items to be disposed of. But if she is more comfortable with a gym bag or backpack, say, make adjustments to accomodate. In any case, by all means do not become unnerved and upset and trying to figure out alternatives to what ever you do day-by-day. If your daughter wears a diaper, then you will regret not having some for the trip and readily available to you and your daughter to accomodate the need. Be sure to keep the tote or bag near you and in sight at all times. Yes, the security will look into it, so share with them the circumstances. Hope I could help some.......mr j
