Reply from Tom for Amy, Child's Age 10/15/20 - 5/2/03 - IP#: 62.252.32.6Dear Amy You said your 11 year old is in diapers have you had her checked out by your doctor ? also you said your 9 year old now has started to do the same as your 11 year old! there are a couple of theories i would like to state to you ! that your youngest could feel left out with all the attention your 11 yr old gets with the changeing of nappies and also may feel in your 9 yr olds mind that it is ok for your 11 year old to do this so why cant I and may feel left out so she is doing it also!. children do feel left out Jealousy of elder siblings what I suggest have your youngest checked out for any medical reasons why she is doing it if it is a matter that nothing is wrong spend time with your youngest explain to her in a kind loveing sympathetic voice that you love her just as much as the elder child and that she is just as important as the older child and spend a bit more time with her give her reassurance and that to use the toilet is the proper thing to do! and that hopefully provideing nothing is medically wrong with junior then things should right themselves! again!hope this is of help to you! with regards your 11 yr old you say she has never shown any signs of being continent have you had your 11 yr old checked out medically! as it could be lazyness! |
