A child can learn to quickly go back to sleep after getting up to go to the toilet in the night. Most bedwetters are deep sleepers, so they are groggy when they get up to go to the toilet, and they easily fall back to sleep. You can do the wake up training during vacations such as during the summer. If sleep is an issue, the child can simply go to bed a little earlier. Isn't it worth not having your teenager in diapers for years? And if your child happens to be one of the 30% of normal individuals with a bladder too small to hold all of their urine produced at night, do you want them to be in diapers for the rest of their life?
