Reply from Travis, Child's Age im 17 - 9/5/03 - IP#: 66.68.253.xxx parbb-c1567 Im glad you and your son had a talk. Im sure it was hard, but it was the right thing to do. As for daytime accidents, they can be tough, especially in school. You may want to try a product called "Depends Guards for Men," they attach to brief underwear, and are great for small leaks. You might also want to have him try a product like "Goodnites" or "Depend Protective Underwear." I personally use "Depend Protective Underwear" everyday under my school clothes. I rarely have any problems, but I have had a few accidents, and im thankful im wearing them. I like Depends better because they are available with tapes, so you can pull them on and off just like regular underwear, but don't have to remove all of your clothing if you have an accident, you can take it off and on just like a diaper. It also doesn't have the "diaper bulge," and it makes very very little noise, so its perfect for school. Wear them over regular boxer shorts, and nobody will be able to tell the difference. Only he has to know. Daytime accidents are common with bed wetter's. He should eventually grow out of them. I would encourage him to post on message boards like this. It's tough to be a teenager, and still wet the bed and wear diapers. Its not something you can bring up with friends easily, so im sure he would take comfort in knowing he's not a lone. I know I sure did. |
