Our daughter still wets at night sometimes, usually if forgets to go to the toilet before bed or is very tired. Does your daughter completely wet herself in the day or is it just small leaks before she can get to the toilet? We stopped buying her drynites or goodnites about 6 months ago, firstly because largest size you can easily buy in the UK didn't fit her any more. But also we found that if she was wearing one then she tended to wet it in the night. Now we're down to about one completely wet bed about a month, and the odd occasion when she wakes as she startrs to pee and only has to change knickers and PJs. May be this is worth a try, perhaps one or two nights a week, when she doesn't need to wake for school. Think about an alternative to goodnites where there's a possibility of her feeling it when she wets in the night. At 17, I'd say your daughter is at risk of having a serious problem for her adult life. Can you imagine the embarressment of wetting the bed when you are sleeping with a boyfriend (I don't it happened to me, more than once, although drinking played a large part in it). Tell me does your daughter have any daytime problems, mine does? |
