Reply from Tom.Uk, Child's Age 10/16/20 - 12/11/03 - IP#: 62.252.63.xxx parbb-c1661 Dear karen ,after a child wearing rubbers for 6 yrs and as you say when she takes them off she wets but is dry when she has them onwell the norm says that normally And I use that wordnormally a child especially girls are quicker to be dry during the night than boys and as your daughter is 12 yrs of age it seems that she is a late starter some children wet untill into their late teens i was 17 when i stopped my daughter stopped at the age of 5 we were lucky but my both sons one now aged 16 stopped only last year at age 15 and my younger son was 8 when he stopped wetting i would tend to agree with Lenny and not worry about her but i would have her checked out by your piediatrician just in case there is something amiss other wise asit is a matter of riding the waves and waiting most children grow out of wetting the bed only a very very small percentage dont stop and need medication or protection for the rest of their lives also it could be a nervous thing or that the child is immature for her age 1 there are numerous reasons why a child might continue wetting the bed after what is commonly known as the normal age! hope this is of help best wishes Tom.Uk PS It is helpfull if the parent do give feedback as it helps to build a better understanding of how different children react no child is the same what may be right for one child may not be right for another! |
