Cindy, Congrats to your daughter on her recent success!! I agree with Lenny that you should keep using the alarm for a while longer yet. As he said, the key is in the number of nights the bed stays dry without the alarm going off at all, not how many nights it stays dry with the help of the alarm. I also think it's a good idea, after the first wave of success (say, 2 dry weeks wioth no alarm going off) to have her drink some extra water right before bed and see if she can learn even then to get up on her own without the alarm going off. After 2 or 3 perfect weeks with extra water before bed, you can probably take the alarm off and be reasonably confident of a cure! Medically, the problem is considered cured when she has a full 6 months without an accident, so you can start counting the days after she gets past the alarm... On the chatroom: I would suggest encouraging her to stick up for herself and encourage everyone who will listen to try an alarm like she did and hopefully find success! It is unfortunate that some kids only want to use this chat room to talk about diapers and form an exclusive club that rules out all who don't wear them -- but the way to prevent that group from dominating the room is for more people like your daughter to be involved and inject positive voices to encourage other kids that they CAN beat this problem. Even if some don't want her there, there will still be many who will be happy to have her and hear both advice and encouragement from her. It is so exciting to see positive news of a cure on this board! Congratulations to you both and my sincerest hope that you can keep it up!!! :) -- Adam
