I'm sorry to hear your son thought the alarm was uncomfortable (we actually didn't use the pad so do not know about that). A couple times my son did not want to wear the alarm but we looked to the good that would come. When the alarm went off and my son got up, my husband or I got up with him to help him change if needed. Very soon we did not need the alarm and we did not have to wake up with him in the middle of the night. I hope things work out with your son. Sincerely, Concerned
