Reply from Lynn - 9/10/01Foods are a factor in children's wetting. As mentioned previously, dairy products are one of these. As reported by Dr. Maizels in his excellent book "Getting to Dry", about 10% of children who wet are affected by foods such as dairy products, carbonated beverages, drinks with artificial colors, drinks with citric acid and sugary foods such as candy. In addition, constipation also plays a role in enuresis and diet is a factor here also. For additional information, I highly recommend "Getting to Dry". You can get it at your local library, Amazon or at the Bedwetting Store online (www.bedwettingstore.com) |
