my daughter has started wetting the bed and we have had day accidents as well. the doctor doesn't think there is anything physically wrong and it is just a phase. we are going on a long car trip and have decided to put kelly in pullups for the trip. the problem is that shes always used to soak through her pullups during potty training. could anybody recommend any disposables they have used which are particularly absorbant. thanks

Our son is 10 years old and he has been a heavy bedwetter ever since he was born. Furthermore, he has also had frequent daytime wetting accidents – one or two accidents per day. A year ago we started to put him in diapers again before going to bed - he had been out of diapers since he was six. Although he didn’t like to be in diapers he accepted it after some time. After he had accepted wearing diapers to bed we decided also to diaper him for longer trips and when visiting the family. Again he accepted it after a few times – and he even started to ask for diapers even at other occasions where he was likely to wet his pants. After testing different brands of disposable diapers with no good results we decided to use cloth diapers and plastic pants on him. In the beginning he was very embarrassed about being in diapers – but now he is very open about it and he does not care to be seen in his diapers and plastic pants. All of his friends know that he wears diapers at some occasions and he has never been teased because of his incontinence. Our problem is that he seems to become more and more dependent on diapers and the number of wetting accidents during daytime has increased significantly after he started wearing diapers - also when he is not in diapers. Recently he has even started to have almost daily messing accidents. If he is asked why he messed his pants or diapers instead of using the toilet he starts to cry and claims that he needed to go suddenly and that he could not hold it. His teachers have recommended us that he should wear protection to school. Therefore, we are now considering whether it would be wise to have him in diapers all the time – or we should try other ways to handle the problem. We have consulted our family doctor regarding his incontinence several times and our son has now been scheduled again for further testing on the hospital after Christmas.

One month ago my doughter woke up with wet sheets. I figured it was just a small accident and it probably wont happen again. It stopped for about a week and then happened 5 nights in a row, and almost every night till now. The docter said nothing was wrong and it should stop in about a week. Well it's been 3 weeks and hasent stoped yet. Should I put her in a diaper?

My son for the past week has been pooping in his pants and wetting then day and night. He is so embarrased that he doesn't want to leave his room. I took him to the doctor and they found nothing wrong. What could be the cause of this. I know it has nothing to do with a fetish cause when we bring up the fact that he might have to wear diapers he starts crying, starts swearing at me and storms off. What should i do?

i was doing last week and in my sons hamper i found wet sheets and wet pants. it seems that he wet the bed. then this week i found even more wet sheets and boxers. he has never wet the bed in his life. So i confronted him about it and he got mad at me and stormed off. we made a doctors appointment and let him drive over there alone. the doctor said there is nothing physically wrong with him. what should we do because he gets mad at us now when we bring up bedwetting.

I have a 9 year old doughter who has just started having accidents, day and night. It started on our trip to Florida, to our condo. She told me she had to go potty really bad, and i told her we were almost at an exit to stop at. By the time we got their she was totally soked. I found a target and we bought some new pants, and some towels to clean the back seat. I asked her if it would happen again, and she said no so i decided we wouldent need to by pull-ups. Two hours later she told me she had had another acident. Luckely i bought 2 pairs of pants and i cleaned her up. When we arived at the condo about 10:00 pm she was still dry. I asked her why she had had the acidents in the car, but she said i dont know. The following morning her sheats were soked and she said she had another acident. We went to the store and even though she didnt want to we bought some pull-ups and she finally wore them after one more accident. This has continued ever since, and i desperatily need some help! Naturally i took her to the docter when we got home and he said their was no problems he could find. He recomended us to another docter and he also couldent find anything.
