From Eric, Age 21 - 5/5/04 - IP#: 198.81.26.xxx Click here to reply Hi im 21 and have been wetting my bed and having accidents in the day pretty much my whole life. I dont have a girlfriend because im too embarressed that she would find out. Some of my best friends know cause they seen me have accidents before and they are sort of cool with it. I wear a diaper to bed and am considering wearing one during the day but am afraid cause they make so much noise when you walk. PLease reply back to me if you have any suggestions.

From kyle, Age 23 - 5/3/04 - IP#: 69.3.1.xxx Click here to reply I have a problem. I woke up this morning and I had sometime in the middle of the night taken my diaper off without knowing it and I woke up in a wet bed. I had already wet the diaper once, but I tend to wet a couple of times a night. Anyone had this problem?

From Joni, Age 53 - 4/28/04 - IP#: 12.12.200.xxx Click here to reply I am 53. I have had wetting accidents all my life. Day or night it doesn't matter. When younger we had to wear dresses to school so if I wet myself at play time no one noticed. High school still was no problem. We still had to wear dresses. So it was easy to hide the problem. As I got older it was harder. There wasn't Anything on the market those days, so I had to make my own. It worked well. I wore dresses to work. Now there are so many things on the market. Some work well some don't. No one knows about my problem. When I am with others I use cloth and they can't hear me change. When I travel I take along both. All works well. I am single will stay single and travel alone. If I stay with someone at their house I make sure to protect all furniture. I don't stay with them long. I don't know any different. I've worn diapers all my life. Doctors have never found anything wrong with me. Two thirds of my suitcase when leaving is just diapers when I leave. On return as the diapers are used I have room to buy souvenirs. When I return home I just go to the store and buy more diapers.

From Renee, Age 28 - 4/27/04 - IP#: 63.188.97.xxx Click here to reply Hi, I am 28 and have been sort of a bedwetter all of my life. I remember bedwetting when I was a young kid and my mom taking me to the doc. All she said they said was that my bladder was small. In the past two years I have had bedwetting episodes more than ever-although like I said it's been a life long thing. It seems to come in spurts. I may go several months and have none and then 2-3 times/month for a few months-last episode was last night. I spoke with a nephrologist about it 2 years ago--as i was getting a workup for something else and he didn't seem too concerned about it--only saying if it started happening more frequently then see my primary doc. Alot of times it seems to happen while I'm dreaming--and I know this sounds strange- but while I'm dreaming of urinating. Which makes me wonder if it's a sleep disorder. I've finally had it with bedwetting. I am married and it is embarrasing to wake up in the middle of the night to a wet bed and having to get my husband up so we can clean the bed and change the sheets. It even happened at my in laws house one time and my husband had to tell my father in law because we were up in the middle of the night trying to find extra sheets. He just brushed it off as a fluke thing. I've made an appt. with my primary docotor this week. what type of tests, referrals, or meds should I ask about. Please help me.Thank you!

From John, Age 53 - 4/23/04 - IP#: 67.149.49.xxx Click here to reply Hello! I have been bladder incontinent for the last year. It all started when I herniated a few discs in my lower back. I started having wetting accidents during the day at first and then at night. I have had all kinds of tests and they indicate that my bladder only holds about one-fifth of what it's supposed to hold and then it decides on its own, usually with little or no warning, to let go. I vae to wear protection 24/7 and it was very embarassing at first but I am gradually getting used to it. My wife, who at first was not very supportive, is now because she sat in on one of the tests and realized how bad my problem is. I deal with my situation by realizing that I may not be able to control my bladder now but I can deal with this. There are many people far worse off than I am physically, that would gladly trade their health problems for mine. If this is the worst thing that can happen to me, I say "bring it on!".

From Andy, Age 50 - 4/22/04 - IP#: 62.255.0.xxx Click here to reply Hi, I am looking for some advise, last year I had an accident and hurt my back and spinal cord I am now able to walk again (have been for some time) but still suffer from incontinence. I think the condition was refered to as a neuropathic bladder? does anybody have any experience with this condition and advise me if it is treatable or if I am likely to remain this way for the rest of my life.

From David, Age 35 - 4/17/04 - IP#: 205.187.219.xxx Click here to reply Hi: I have been a bedwetter all my life. I alwasy thought I woudl stop by the tiem I turned adult. Didnt' even know adults wet the bed. Anyways, while I saw plenty of Drs. growing up I have been hiding my bedwetting from my current Dr. of about 10 years. I finally had enough nerve to talk to him about it. He was really great about it. Hre didnt' make me go thorugh the usual urologist referral route because I alrady saw them guys before to no avail. He wants me to start soem mediciane called ddavp. WE tlaked about tofranil but I had that stuff when I was a kid adn it didnt' work so well and gave me awful side effects. Has anyone else tried thei ddavp stuff? does it work? My Dr. doesnt' htink it will gie me side effects like the tofranil did. I rea a lettle about htis stuff but it seems like it is used for kdis not adults. Amy inof you can provide woudl be appreciated. Thanks.
