I've been a bedwetter all my life. I saw an urologist when I was a teenager and he did a bladder x-ray on me but nothing was wrong with my bladder. I have just recently been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I wear a mask at night that blows air up my airway to keep it open. I've also have just started using oxygen at night with my CPAP. I figured my bedwetting is due to a sleep disorder. I have read that doctors have found a link between sleep apnea and bedwetting. I still wet the bed every night using my CPAP. Anyone have any suggestions or comments? I am glad that I have found a group of adult bedwetters like me. It is a miserable feeling being an adult bedwetter.

I pee myself when I laugh especially when drinking with mates. I'm too embarrassed to tell anyone and its really stressful hiding whats happening and having to make a rapid exit sometimes in case it shows. Any advice? I've no other problems in this area.

A while ago I started wetting the bed about once a week. This became more frequent and now I wet the bed just about every night and have started having accidents in the day-time too. I find I have least control when sitting down, especially in an armchair or car seat. Is this usual? I'd like to hear from people who have less control when they sit than when they stand.

I am wondering if anyone else has the same problem as me, which is wetting the bed for a couple of nights before my period is due. In the last couple of years I have had accidents before my period. They aren't even small leakage incidents, where I could just cope with a night sanitary towel, but a full stream where I often wake to find I have lost all the contents of my bladder, or that I am urinating fully, as though into the toilet, and by the time I am 'with it' enough to stop myself, it is basically too late.I have read that it is due to hormonal changes, and I manage by buying cheap nappies and wearing them inside my knickers like a sanitary pad, but sometimes these aren't enough to hold it. I have recently found a brand of pull-up pants for teenagers, but whereas in the supermarket I look the right age to have a baby that I could be buying nappies for, it would be obvious that I am not old enough to have a teenager and I worry that people will know they are for me. Although I am not in a relationship, and have not been for a couple of years, I worry about what will happen if/when I do get back into one, how do I broach the subject with a man that I wet the bed sometimes?!Has anyone any words of wisdom to offer on this problem?

Hi, I'm 21 and I've always been a bedwetter. I have a small dilemma though - I'm going away with my best friend in June, staying in the same hotel room. She knows I've had the odd accident (been friends with her a long time and stayed at her house multiple times as teenagers) but not really the extent or that it's still a problem. I plan on wearing diapers at night though and she's going to work it out. I'm not sure whether to directly address it with her maybe before we go or to not say anything and ignore it. I'm just afraid it's going to make things awkward if we both ignore it. Trouble is I have no idea how to bring it up with her...
